Getting Started
This tutorial walks you through the first things to do after you get access. You will add your business details, set your timezone and sender details, and get the platform ready to capture your first lead. It takes about 15 minutes.
What you will learn
- How to add your business profile
- How to set your timezone and locale
- How to add your email sending domain
- How to invite a team member
Before you start
- Have your business name, address and phone ready
- Have access to the email address you will send from
Step-by-step
- 1
Add your business profile
Open Settings and find Business Profile. Enter your business name, address, phone and website. This information is used on invoices, emails and booking confirmations, so keep it accurate.
- 2
Set your timezone and locale
In Settings, open General. Set your timezone to match where most of your customers are. This affects appointment times, workflow schedules and reporting dates. Getting this wrong is the most common reason bookings show at the wrong time.
If you serve customers in multiple timezones, set your primary timezone here and use per-calendar timezones for booking.
- 3
Add your email sending domain
Go to Settings, then Email. Add the domain you want to send from, for example mail.yourbusiness.com. Follow the DNS records shown to verify ownership. Sending from your own domain improves delivery and stops your emails landing in spam.
- 4
Invite a team member
Open Settings, then Team. Add a team member by email and pick their role. Roles control what they can see and change. You can add unlimited team members on every plan.
Result
Your business profile is set, your timezone is correct, your email domain is verified, and you have at least one team member. You are ready to capture your first lead.
Troubleshooting
My email domain will not verify
Check that the DNS records were added exactly as shown, with no extra spaces. DNS can take up to 24 hours to update. If it still fails, contact support.
My team member did not get the invite
Ask them to check spam. If it is not there, resend the invite from the Team page.
Best practices
- Use a sending subdomain like mail.yourbusiness.com instead of your main domain
- Give team members the lowest role that lets them do their job
- Double-check your timezone before you create any calendar

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a custom domain to send email?
You can send from a shared domain to start, but a custom sending domain gives much better delivery. We recommend setting one up early.
Can I change my timezone later?
Yes, but changing it after you create calendars and workflows can shift existing appointments. Set it correctly before you build anything.
